Once again, the Atlanta office staff has cultured themselves a little bit more. Throughout the month, the staff has surprised each other with amazing movie suggestions, ranging from cult classics to pure indie films. Below are some of our movie suggestions.

Departures (2008) – Yojiro Takita

Bronson (2009) – Nicolas Winding Refn

Slacker (1991) – Richard Linklater

Vernon, Florida (1981) – Errol Morris

Le dîner de cons (1998) – Frances Veber

What ever happened to Baby Jane? (1962) – Robert Aldrich

Brick (2005) – Rian Johnson

A Raisin in the Sun (1961) – Lloyds Richards

If you still have suggestions, please feel free to let us know!!!

Atlanta, GA, June 1, 2010

As the temperatures heat up into the 90’s, a concern on everybody’s mind is hydration. At our Atlanta office, the Applied Health team members decided to drink down the ounces of pure H20. Each team member brought in a mystery prize and weekly winners were awarded. Overall, daily water consumption (not including any beverages other than water) was at varying levels but the winner, William Bryan, drank on average 80 oz of water each work day.

Each month, a new theme is selected for the team.

This Month: Poetry – each day one of the team members will recite a short poem and educate the team on the author.

ATLANTA, September 1, 2009

As many not-for-profit organizations feel the impact of the economic downturn, some have still found support in their local business community. On September 1, 2009, Atlanta Pediatric Therapy (APT) announced an initiative to raise funds for the Ron Clark Academy, a 501(C)(3)private academy in the metro Atlanta area for children in grades five through eight. The Ron Clark Academy’s unique curriculum affords students the opportunity for world travel. This fundraising effort addresses the need for all students at the RCA to be able to participate in all aspects of the curriculum without the limitation of financial need.

“APT is concerned with the lives of children, not just the children our therapists serve, but also those in our community,” said George Rosero, CEO and co-founder of Atlanta Pediatric Therapy. “We’re all feeling the impact of the economy, but there are still children out there who will have financial need no matter what. The Ron Clark Academy is an excellent program and we want to support it in its efforts.”

Atlanta Pediatric Therapy staffs approximately 100 employees and works with several private contractors to provide numerous hours of therapy services to the 0-21 year old population. In metro Atlanta, there is an acute need for pediatric speech, occupational and physical therapy and APT is among the largest providers of therapy in Georgia, reaching clients in educational, clinical and home health settings.

APT anticipates several events during the last quarter of FY 2009 to help raise funds for the Ron Clark Academy. For information on these events, Atlanta Pediatric Therapy, and the Ron Clark Academy, please contact Millie Linville at 404-575-4000 ext. 27.
